Going Out, Music and Theater

There are several music venues popular with students, such as the Town Ball Room, that stage a variety of styles and sound. The place to be during the week in the nicer weather is "Thursday in the Square", which hosts free, outdoor concerts. Very easy to get to by Metro Rail.
Buffalo is known for having an active night life on Chippewa, and bars stay open until 4 a.m.! This is when Mighty Taco and Jim's Steak Out sounds really good.
Shea's Performing Arts Center, a National Historic Site, presents top notch programming. Broadway hits, children's programming and everything in between, gives Buffalo something to talk about! The theater district has a variety of venues, large and small, to choose from. Since you can live at Collegiate Village year round, you can attend Shakespeare in the Park on the lawn of the Albright Knox Art Gallery in the summer.
Home of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kleinhans Music Hall offers special concerts year round. Not only do they offer Classics, Family and Pops shows, but their music education programs are a fantastic way to get more involved in the musical community.
