Residence Life

The Residence Life department is designed to enhance and promote a positive campus-like experience with the benefits of apartment living. The services provided by the Residence Life staff ranges from sponsoring fun, informative and social events to various levels of support for students in need of personal, academic, social or apartment lifestyle guidance. The Resident Life staff assists the Management staff in applying the lease rules and regulations consistently, to ensure the quiet enjoyment of the premises by all residents.

Events and Activities

Events are planned according to resident interest and may include such activities as themed social gatherings, movie nights, in-house basketball games, card games, etc.

At Collegiate Village, fun in the sun at the outdoor pool raises other possibilities, as well as the use of the full length basketball court.  The Residence Life staff provides numerous programs every month and many opportunities to get involved within the Collegiate Village community.

Student Support Services

Collegiate Village blends off-campus living with some of the perks of on-campus living, such as supportive staff right on site. Residents have someone to go to for assistance or mediation, if needed; while still having the opportunity to enjoy privacy and independent apartment living. It’s the best of both worlds.

Maintenance

Residents won’t get better maintenance response anywhere else. They don’t have to shovel the driveway. They don’t have to wait for an absent landlord to respond. They don’t have to switch cars in a driveway. And they don’t have to park off the public roads in the winter.

Non-emergency maintenance requests are responded to within 24 to 48 hours, dependent upon the nature of the call. Emergency requests are responded to ASAP 24/7. That’s peace of mind.

Safety

Fire safety is a serious concern in off-campus apartments, particularly in the older, city homes that surround most area colleges and universities. All Collegiate Village buildings and apartments have fire safety alarm systems with sprinklers.  Windows throughout the apartments meet proper egress (exit) requirements.

There are reminders daily of the need and importance of better security in off-campus housing. Responding to growing concerns from students and their parents, Collegiate Village is the only gated community for students in the region with Card Access Entry.

Each bedroom door has a personal lockset just for the student(s) assigned, so privacy and possessions can be protected.

The property has a digital recording camera system to assist with monitoring the grounds of the property, and patrol personnel are routinely visible throughout, and are available to escort students when requested.
